Bi- and multi-objective location routing problems: classification and literature review

Abstract The facility location problem and the vehicle routing are highly interdependent critical parts of any efficient cost-effective supply chain. facilities heavily affects design distribution routes between various demand nodes. Within locational analysis, location-routing is a mathematical optimization that considers underlying issues simultaneously optimizes routes. Since, in real-life applications, it common decision-makers encounter more than one, often conflicting objectives, can be stated term multi-objective optimization. This paper reviews 80 journal articles published field bi- problems 2014 2020. Included papers classified based on several factors covering model assumptions characteristics, solution approaches, application area. For each area, individual presented discussed. concludes with remarks suggestions for future research.
